A complete UID solution, delivered by ELOP - Dolphiscan,
to a large defence contractor in Norway
This system is based around Savi I-guides and a Microscan UID verifier for
DoD IUID (MIL-STD-130) compliance.
Data is entered into I-Guides manually, by code scanner, or file transfer. A
unique item identifier (UII) is than generated and, through the integrated label
manager, data is transferred to the marking equipment (in this case a laser
marker) in the predefined format.
After printing, every label gets verified, and a report is generated
automatically, that can be sent to the customer or directly to the DoD.
Different marking methods (i.e. direct part marking, thermo transfer, laser
marker, metalphoto) and different label types and materials are available.
The verification process can be completely automated for certain types of labels.
Integration with different databases and ERP systems i possible.
